A gentle, mellow and kind hearted woman. Hard working and diligent. Very creative, imaginative, and studious. Prefers spending her time with others, or just having someone around. Openly caring, loving, and attentive for those she cares about. Often self conscious and deals with being diffident, however support from others and learning habits to lessen it have helped. Occasionally whimsical and lets herself be more free spirited. She also has some talent and passion for art outside of music.
Catherine Jolie Bellerose was born on May 17th, 1994, in Macon, Georgia, to Lawrence and Selene Bellerose, who co-own a small restaurant together. She was born with an eye that had an underdeveloped retina, which made it permanently blind. She later developed a cataract in that eye that was treatable, but since she was already blind, no surgery was ever done and it remains today.
Due to a past incident involving her older sister Amy when she was a teenager having a near death experience during an attempted kidnapping, her parents became heavily overprotective about their children’s whereabouts. As a result, when Catherine grew older they never allowed her to visit her friends from school or go places with them, and would go outside only for family entertainment centers or family related events. In general, just preventing her from being anywhere without their surveillance or teachers because they thought it could put her in danger. This would lead her to not develop much socially, and feel trapped in her own home at times. Throughout this time, she found a passion for both art and music which helped distract her and bring her out of boredom. One day in middle school, she would find an old bass guitar that had belonged to her grandfather, and began teaching herself the instrument as a side hobby.
After high school she moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota to go live with her older sister Amy to get away from her parents. In college, she would meet and start talking to Saito after he gave back a lost music CD she had accidentally dropped. From Saito she would also become acquainted with Kei and Stephanie. Five years after getting her degree, she would be asked to join the band Frivol as a bassist by Saito. She would accept the offer and become a new member.
